Takayasu Sensei would like to have a video evening this Friday, 12 February 2010 at 6:00pm. He would like to show us a movie of Hirosawa Sensei, who was a Shihandai (can conduct a class on behalf of a Shihan) while the late Saito Sensei was running the Iwama Dojo on behalf of O-Sensei, and who has achieved the final part of O-Sensei's Aikido.
In Takayasu Sensei’s own words: “Late Saito Sensei was always reluctant to explain the final part of O-Sensei's development because the students will never be strong martial artist if they try to learn this part of Aikido development without the completion of physical side of development. But I would like to introduce to our students because I believe that the keen student of Aikido deserves the right information about what the man can achieve in this martial art of Aikido.”
So come along to the Access Video Room on the ground floor of the City Dojo at 6pm on Friday 12 February. It is sure to be a fascinating evening. Please bring your own drinks and snacks.
